Washington, D.C. - (July 21, 2010)-- The Public Safety Alliance today applauded Senator John "Jay" Rockefeller, IV, Chairman of the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee (D – WV), for announcing his intention to introduce legislation directing the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to allocate the D Block to public safety and identifying funding to build and maintain a nationwide interoperable public safety broadband network.
