The chiefs, sheriffs, emergency managers and emergency medical services (EMS) and communications professionals that make up the Public Safety Alliance, and 40-plus national organizations supporting their position, will be bringing their message of public safety D-Block allocation and funding for the nationwide public safety broadband network to Capitol Hill.
Public safety vehicles will be present on Capitol Hill while PSA representatives meet with Congress to gain their support for H.R. 5081 – The Broadband for First Responders Act of 2010 – and seek support for introduction of a companion bill in the Senate. The results of their meetings will be discussed at a press conference.
